JEROME - Agnes Woolley, 87, of Jerome, died Saturday afternoon at Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital.
Born June 3, 1897 in Nephi, Utah, she was reared and educated in Utah and later around Darby and Ucon in Idaho. She married John Woolley November 17, 1915 at Idaho Falls. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February 8, 1974.
They moved to Jerome in 1929, farming east of town for a number of years. They built the Woolley Apartments in 1947 in Jerome. Mr. Woolley died in 1971.
Mrs. Woolley was a member of the Jerome Grange and had served as lecturer. She was a member of Eastern Star, received her 50-year pin. She also belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the LDS Church. At the time of her death, she was serving as a counselor in the Relief Society organization in Woodstone Manor in Twin Falls.
Surviving are: a daughter, June Towle of Jerome; a son, Russell Woolley of Jerome; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers, and a grandchild.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Jerome LDS Stake Center, north of the high school, with Bishop Robert E. Williams III officiating. Burial will be in Jerome Cemetery.
