Archives index, and death certif. pulled from this, which also revealed his date of birth. The informant on his death certificate is his wife. Despite his death certificate stating he was buried in "Manokin", his grave was found at the Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne, Maryland. His gravestone has his name as "Capt. James R. Dodson", the "Captain" designation apparently being common for those whose occupation was piloting sailing vessels.
