Obituary:
Samuel W. Van Kirk who died in St. Lukes Hospital, Utica, Saturday, will be buried in Dryden Tuesday. Services will be conducted from the home, Ratenour Bridge at 1 Pm. Mr. Van Kirk was caretaker of an estate at Raquette Lake. He was a member of Lodge 1638 Loyal Order of Moose. Surviving are his wife Mary Davenport Van Kirk; two sons, Samuel W. Van Kirk of Elmira, NY and Alexander Van Kirk of Ratenour Bridge, and a daughter Mrs. James Jones (?)Interlaken. Burial will be at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden NY.
