Henry Angel was the second son of Christian Henry and Anna Magaretha Angel. Like his father, he became a house and sign painter in the family business.
He had eight brothers and sisters, four of whom lived to adulthood:
- Anna Christina Angel Hegemann (1862-1943)
- Ernst Philip Angel (1864-1894)
- Helene Margareth Angel Peters (1869-1942)
- William Detloff Angel (1873-1939)
On Sep 26th 1889, he married Kunigunde Back (1866-1953) who was from Grafton, Wisconsin.
They had one son who did not survive childhood:
Walter Henry Angel, born August 22, 1890, in Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Henry died of purulent meningitis on April 23rd, 1891.
