A short bio of him appeared on page 1537 of the "History of Milwaukee 1881" published by The Western Historical Company:
"CHRISTIAN H. ANGEL, house and sign painter, No. 114 Knapp street, is a native of Tondern, Germany, and was born in 1831. He received his education there, and came direct to this city from Germany in 1853. He commenced business for himself in 1856, which he successfully conducted since." [When this was written in 1881, Tonder, Denmark, was part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.]
Christian Henry's first wife, Anna Margaretha, died prior to 1885 and he was married to his second wife, Catharine Weidmann of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, on November 5th, 1885. He died of bronchial pneumonia on November 18th, 1903.
