Donna J. Bell, age 80, of Huron, died Sunday, June 19, 2011, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.

Her memorial service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Huron with a private burial service of her cremated remains at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday morning one hour prior to service at the church.

Donna Jean Dubro was born on October 27, 1930, in Beadle County on the family farm, to Robert P. and Bertha R (Baum) Dubro. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and lived her entire life in Beadle County.

She attended Huron Public Schools, graduating from Huron High School in 1948. She had the honor of being a delegate to the first South Dakota Girls State in 1947, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary of South Dakota, and held in Mitchell. She attended Girls State as a journalism delegate.

Her employment was with KIJV AM & FM Radio as an accountant and office manager for 27 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, ELCW, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

On February 16, 1980 she married John C. Bell, Jr. in Huron where they continued to live. Following retirement, they enjoyed the winter months in Mesa, AZ, for many years.

Donna is survived by her husband, John Bell of Huron; step-children, John C. Bell, III of Cottage Grove, MN, Susan Bell, Burnsville, MN, and Tom (Mary) Bell of Brookings, SD; 6 step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchildren; three nephews, all of Huron, Robert (Sue) Cameron, Michael (Lana) Cameron, Gary (Dolly) Venables; one niece, Dr. Cathy Cameron of Kalispell, MT.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lila Cameron, and Hazel (Lloyd) Venables.
