Ulis W. Evitts, 71, Luzerne, Dies Tuesday

Luzerne - Ulis W. (Bud) Evitts, 71, died at his home in Luzerne, Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 10:30 p.m. The funeral is being held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Luzerne Church, the Rev. Willie Blake officiating, with burial in Unity Cemetery near Graham.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Adah Evitts; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Steele of Powderly, Mrs. Rose Bethel of Luzerne and Mrs. Lawrence Wilkins of Gary, Ind.; three sons, Aaron, Elgin and Jewell, all of Cleveland, Ohio; 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Fulkerson of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Otho Cornette of Ogden, Utah; four brothers, Lucien of Powderly, Eli of Dawson Springs, Henry of Greenville and Jack of Ogden, Utah.
