Steven Abril, 79, an AZ native, passed away Sept. 18, 2003. Retiring 10 years ago, he was the owner of Abril & Sons Concrete Company. He was also a cement mason and an operator's engineer for 45 years in the greater Phoenix area. Steven was a member of the Cement Masonry of AZ, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and was a WWII US Navy veteran. He was also a contributor to the South Mountain Little League West.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessie A. Abril; daughters, Gloria Escalante, Lydia Natividad, Maria Medina, Dolores Ibrahem, Dian Castillo; sons, Steven Jr., Tony, Danny and Jesse; brother, Frank Abril; 26 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tues., Sept. 23rd from 6:30-8:30 pm at St. Catherine of Siena, 6200 S. Central Ave. A Funeral Mass will be Wed. at St. Catherine of Siena at 10:00 am with inter-- ment to follow at Resthaven Park Mortuary & Cemetery at 4310 E. Southern Ave. in Phx.
