Hazel M. Arnhold, 86, Hays, died Monday, Oct. 22 at the Hays Medical Center.
She was born December 6, 1914 at Soldier, Kansas to John and Catharine (Zirger) Hoenshell. She was a hair-dresser for 62 years in Hays owning Hazel's Beauty Shop. She graduated from Harrisonville, MO High School in 1933 and from Beauty School in 1934.
Survivors include a son, Nick Arnhold of Oakley; a daughter, Sheila Kay Thompson of Denver, CO; a sister, Gladys Glenn of Harrisonville, MO; six grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend William C. Miller officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Hays.
