Mrs Ica D Ward, 78, of 14 North Chauncey Street, West Lafayette, formerly of Clark’s Hill, died at 12:20 AM Wednesday in St Elizabeth Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday. Born at Clark’s Hill, she lived in the Lafayette community 12 years. She was married to William Ward who died in 1948. She was a member of Clark’s Hill Methodist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs Mabel Thompson, with whom she lived, and Mrs Gladys Buchanan, Indianapolis, and a brother, Ray Cooley, Kentland. (Lafayette newspaper, Wednesday, March 5, 1956)
