Louis M. Baer, 81 years old, died suddenly in his home in Dunbar last night from heart disease. Mr. Baer had been a resident of Dunbar for 52 years and was furnace man for Dunbar Furnace Company for 25 years, retiring 15 years ago from active life. Previous to his residence in Dunbar he resided at Bethelboro. Mr. Baer is survived by his widow and 7 children.

Louis M. Baer, 81 years old, for the past 52 years a resident of Dunbar, died suddenly at 7:15 o'clock Tuesday night at his home at Dunbar from a heart attack. He had been in his usual good health throughout the day when he was seized with the attack which caused his demise in a few hours.
Mr. Baer was born in Malgah county, Ohio, February 23, 1848, the son of Louis and Mary Baer. He resided at Bethelboro for about a year before removing to Dunbar where he continued his residence for 52 years.
His wife, Harriet Josephine Jeffries Baer survives. Seven of the 10 children born to this union survive. They are Charles L. Baer, Connellsville, Cora, wife of N. M. Scott, Wilkinsburg, Teresa, wife of L. M. Kerchner, Wilkinsburg, William Baer, Connellsville, Roberta, wife of Samuel Jones, Fayette City, Harry L. Baer, Dormont, and Ruth, wife of Dr. D.B. Hetrick, Masontown. There are 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mary Riffle of Uniontown is a sister.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the late home. Rev. H. D. Purrier, pastor of the Dunbar Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
