Gladys Agan Thomas, of Temple, Georgia, died Friday, January 2, 2009. She was born in Haralson County, January 3, 1916, daughter of the late James Andrew Agan and Cora Alice Haley Agan. Mrs. Thomas was a retired employee of the Sewell Manufacturing Co.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Thomas; a son, Bobby Thomas; a daughter, Culon Williams; sisters, Eula Mae Cash, Verlie Cash and Mary Ann Massey; and brothers, Troy Agan, Otha Agan, Ivey Agan and Leslie Agan.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie J. Norton of Temple; sons, Bill Thomas of Bremen and Daniel Thomas of Tallapoosa; a sister, Doris R. Ploof of Bremen; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday, January 4 at Hightower Funeral Home, Bremen, GA, with Revs. Buddy Gentry and Joel Norton officiating. Music was by the Agan family. The grandsons served as pallbearers. Burial followed in Piney Woods Church Cemetery.
