Funeral services were held this afternoon at West Side Cemetery for Versal Arizella Allison, 63, of 723 Fillmore St., who died Saturday in a Bakersfield hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1920 in Missouri and was interested in the Girl Scouts and PTA programs when her children were young. She is survived by her husband, Dale; three children, Doris Alexander, Los Angeles; Carol Mallory, Bakersfield; and David Allison, Houston, Tex; one brother, Jason Newton, Bakersfield; three sisters, Lela Johnson, Fair Oaks; Letha Maness, Peoria, Ill; and Darlene Harris, Ill; and one grandson, Robert Mallory. Rev. Bill Harrison of First Baptist Church officiated with burial following services. Taft Funeral Home handled arrangements.
