Elizabeth "Beth" Morton Kneeland was born December 23, 1952 in Ventura, California to Raymond and Naomi (Meshberger) Morton. She graduated from Rio Mesa High School in Oxnard, California. Beth attended Pasadena College. She married Ed Kneeland on June 23, 1972 in Ventura, California. They lived in Kansas City, Missouri, Los Lunas, New Mexico and Albuquerque, New Mexico before settling to Carlsbad in 1989. Beth worked at Emmitt Smith Elementary School as an instructional assistant and later for Vista Care Hospice as the volunteer coordinator. She was a member of Church Street Church of the Nazarene. Beth enjoyed reading, collecting antiques and going on cruises. She cherished the time with her grandchildren and took ever opportunity to bake for them. Through the many difficult times, Beth always showed great faith in Christ, selflessness and courage. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy Ray Kneeland and sister, Linda Morton Gilliland.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Kneeland of Carlsbad, NM; son, Marc Kneeland and wife, Noni of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Cathy Harper and husband, Byron of Midland, TX; parents, Raymond and Naomi Morton of Lubbock, TX; seven grandchildren: Robin Elizabeth Kneeland, Sydney Lin Kneeland, Dakota Harper, Rian Harper, Joseph Semon, Bailey Harper, Zachary Harper; nieces: Cara Kime and Christa Reese.
