LALA F. STEWART
Mrs. Lala Frances Stewart, 58, of Cranberry died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital following a short illness.
Born Jan. 13, 1918 at Cranberry, she was a daughter of the late Everette and Lala Pennington Grow.
A housewife, Mrs. Stewart was a life-long resident of the Cranberry area and was a member of Daniels Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Stewart, in 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse F. Stewart of Orlando, Fla. and Barry Stewart of Cranberry; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Massie of Daniels, Elva Stewart and Stacy Stewart, both at home; two brothers, James E. Grow of Beckley and Everette F. Grow of Santa Anna, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Don Pileger officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
