Mr. Girden Williamson, 74, of Magee died Wednesday, May 1 at Magee General Hospital. The Simpson County native was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and a retired bookkeeper.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W. H. Parker and Rev. W. P. Blair officiating. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was at Athens Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include: wife: Mrs. Gladys Williamson, of Magee; cousin: Mr. Clem Tullos, of Mendenhall; and a number of relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers were Bernice Green, Daniel Magee, W. O. Stennett, Tim Green, Vernel Reed, and Sammy Tullos.
