Mrs. Daniel McFarlane, wife of Mr. Daniel McFarlane, Sr., died Monday morning, Oct. 15, 1894, at the family residence in Cuba City, aged 64 years. Mrs. McFarlane's maiden name was Blewett. She came to America from Cornwall, England, with her parents when she was eighteen years of age. Her parents came to Elk Grove where they settled 46 years ago. Deceased was married to Daniel McFarlane 41 years ago and resided in Elk Grove township until recently when they removed to Cuba City. She leaves, to mourn her loss, her husband, who is now sick in bed, and four sons, Daniel, John, Charles and George, who all reside in this vicinity, and have the heartfelt sympathy of every one in this neighborhood.
Mrs. McFarlane was a good, true, Christian woman and mother, amiable and kind-hearted, a neighbor who was ever willing to help others.
The funeral was Wednesday and was largely attended by old friends and neighbors, Rev. P.S. Mather officiating. Burial in Elk Grove Cemetery.
The pall-bearers were: James Lindsay, Arthur Doyle, Edward Dowing, John Stephens, Gabriel Gill and Wm. Mitchell.
