The daughter of John F. and Sarah Elizabeth Shannon Black, Mrs. Stafford was born in Delaware County and spent most of her life here. She and Mr. Stafford were married in 1908. She was a member of the Center Chapel EUB Church.
Surviving besides the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Harry W. White, Blackford County; a son, Clyde A. Stafford, Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Mae Smith, Muncie; a brother, Eugene Black, Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Black Cemetery. Rev. George M. Anderson, the Rev. John Shaw, and the Rev. Joseph Rousch will officiate. Friends may call at the Meeks Mortuary after 3 p.m. Monday.
