Age 77, entered eternal life on October 14, 2011 in The Woodlands, TX. The son of Charles and Effie McEwen, Jim was born June 24, 1934 in West Newbury, MA. An Arlington resident, in 2004 he moved to Texas. Jim was a graduate of Northeastern University in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at the Draper Laboratory, MIT, on spherical bearings for the gyroscope, which put our first man on the moon. He later worked at Northrup Corp. for 20 years. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Arapoff McEwen, his daughter Mary Louise and husband Maurice Kelleher, and son John Joseph and wife Denise McEwen.
Interment service at the Westview Cemetery, Lexington, is scheduled Friday, October 21, (Saville Funeral Home, Arlington MA).
