Elias married Mary Meacham (dau. of Samuel Meacham & Bertha Pease), April 11, 1756. Mary died sometime around 1764. There is no record of Elias remarrying.

Update: Elias wrote his will 4 Dec 1798, saying, "I give and bequeath to Mary my beloved and faithful wife all my personal estate to be hers forever . . . ." The will was probated in 1799 with no mention made of Mary being deceased; consequently, we know that Mary survived her husband. (Will probated at Hartford, Conn., Case no. 2515.). Submitted by member no. 47335469.
