Obituary reads: The body of Elmer Glander 48, was found by his wife early Thursday morning hanging from a wire in a wash room at the rear of his West Alexandria home. Coroner F. R. Smith gave a verdict of suicide. Having quit his job at the West Alexandria Grain and Coal Company a few weeks ago, because of poor health, it is thought that he was despondent over his illness. He had formerly farmed. Joe Gardner a neighbor, heard Mrs. Glander scream and ran over to the Glander home and he and Mrs. Glnader's son James took the body down and used resuscitation methods but were unable to bring back life. It is thought that Glander had carefully prepared the wire and put it in place the day before. Surviving are the widow and son and four brothers, Jesse, Lanier twp., George, Dayton, Frank, Eaton and Ben, Brookville. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the home. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery.
