So Burlington/St. Albans – Donald Joseph Boulerice, 56, a lifelong area resident, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011, at Fletcher Allen Health Care following many years of illness, with his family at his side.

He was born in Colchester on February 6, 1955, the son of Pauline M. (Bergeron) Boulerice and the late Lionel G. Boulerice, who passed away on October 16, 2009.

Donald graduated from Bellows Free Academy in 1973, and worked for UVM and IBM until the early 90's when health issues forced him to retire. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 297 in St. Albans and of St. John Vianney Parish in So Burlington. Donald's greatest enjoyments in life came from time spent with his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, hunting, camping, trips to the casino, seeing friends, and his dogs. Donald was well known for his sense of humor and his wheeling and dealing abilities (inherited from his father) and for being the only one of the brothers with "Mr. Fix It" abilities.

Survivors include: his mother, Pauline Boulerice of So Burlington; his daughter, Angela Phillip and her three children, Aaron & Amber Barbeau and Alexandria "Peanut" Desrochers all of Swanton; his siblings, Michael Boulerice and his wife, Sherry; Anita Boulerice Lavoie; Marcel Boulerice and his wife, Susan; and Robert Boulerice and his wife, Melissa, all of St. Albans. Donald is also survived by many nieces and nephews, his canine companion "Choco", and his devoted former wife, Gail Boulerice of St. Albans.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 4 to 7 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So Main St, St. Albans.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 19th at 11:00 AM at St. John Vianney Church on Hinesburg Rd in So Burlington. The Reverend Timothy Sullivan will be the celebrant. Interment will be at the convenience of his family in Resurrection Park.
