Winnie Hopkins Leonhardt passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield.
Winnie loved her church and her Lord. She served First Baptist Church of Mansfield in many ways for many years. She taught Sunday school for two years, was voted an outstanding choir member in 1971 and served on the choir director search committee, evangelistic search committee, financial committees and the decorating committee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Leonhardt, and one son, Edward Geren.
Survivors: Sister, Frances Christman; son, Landon Geren and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Sandy Olive, Van Geren and wife, Tammi, and Lisa Holland; great-grandchildren, Stacy, Corey, Brandon, Patricia, Tanner, Austen and Jessica; great-great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tyler; and countless nieces and nephews.
