1921 MATRIMONIAL Graves-Throndson
Miss Faye Edith Graves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Graves, and Mr. Aden Throndson were united in marriage Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 6th, at the house of the brides' parents. Rev. Sherman W. Arends reading the wedding service. The bride wore a gown of Harding blue Persian weave silk and carried a bouquet of tea roses. She was attended by Miss Myrtle Throndson and the groom was attendd by Mr. Wilbur Graves. Miss Frieda Kording played the wedding march. The rooms were beautifully and artistically decorated in a color scheme of yellow and white. Immediately after the ceremony a luncheon was served to the guests. Both the young people are graduates of the Hayfield high school and have a host of friends who will extend best wishes for a prosperous married life. They left by automobile for a short trip through the northern part of the state and will be at home to their friends at Hayfield after October first.

Faye Throndson, 85, of Hayfield, dies Mrs. Aden (Faye) Throndson, 85, of Hayfield, a longtime area resident and retired farm homemaker, died Monday at her home of natural causes.

The former Faye E. Graves was born Aug. 13, 1902, in Peoria, Illinois and moved to Hayfield with her parents as a child. On Sept. 6, 1921, she married Aden Throndson in Hayfield and they farmed in the area for many years. Her husband died in 1986. Mrs. Throndson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its women's groups and circles, was a past 4-H leader, and belonged to the Hayfield Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, Warren of Rochester, two daughters, Maxine Unger of Dodge Center and Mary Ann Shawback of Franklin, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Letha Janes of Hayfield. Three brothers also preceded her in death.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield with the Rev. James Amundson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cole-Gust Funeral Home in Hayfield and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
