Cecil Alexander, the 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Alexander, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock at the Presbyterian Hospital, where he had been carried upon his return from Baltimore where he underwent and operation for a tumor on the brain. The lad, despite his tender years, was well liked by a circle of friends and neighbors for his sunny, genial disposition, won friends of all with whom he came in contact.

FUNERAL OF YOUNG CECIL ALEXANDER CONDUCTED TODAY AT 2 P. M.
The funeral services of Cecil Alexander, the 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Alexander, who died yesterday morning at the Presbyterian Hospital, was held today from the residence of the parents in Belmont and was conducted by Rev. T. D. Cartledge, pastor of Pegram Street Presbyterian Church. About a month ago, Mr. Alexander took his son to John Hopkins Hospital at Baltimore for treatment for what local physicians had diagnosed as a tumor of the brain. In spite of the best medical skill which that institution could afford, he showed no improvement and was brought back to the Presbyterian Hospital of this city, where he lived only one day after reaching here, his death occurring yesterday morning.
Besides his parents, the boy is survived by two brothers, James and Eugene, and one sister, Inez. A host of friends sympathize with the sorrowing relatives in their bereavement.
