Helen and Roy met in Charlotte, NC while she was working for Roy's father. They enjoyed a memorable life together and celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this past June. Helen, Roy and their children moved to Conyers in 1973 and immediately became active members of Conyers First United Methodist Church where Helen held offices in the Rebekah Circle, the Friendship Class, and was on many church committees. She taught in the CFUMC preschool and volunteered for several years in the church office. When she was chairman of the hospitality committee in the Friendship Class she made sure all sick or grieving members had meals and TLC. Helen was a kind, loving and compassionate woman.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at Conyers First United Methodist Church with Dr. John Beyers and Rev. Dan Brokaw officiating.
