He married wife Julia in 1874 when he was 29 years old. They had six children--Utinsey (1875), Iris (1876), Byron (1878), William (1881), Charles (1883) and Melvin (1885). He died in 1923 at age 78. He shares a headstone with wife Julia who died in 1903. His will was probated in Noble Co.
