He was born June 20, 1927 in Tremonton, a son of Elmer Adams and Purces Monday Sandall. He married Marion Ruth Preston Dec. 1, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away Oct. 7, 2000.
He had resided in Tremonton, Sunnyside and Salt Lake City. He served an LDS stake mission in the elders quorum and as a high priest and as a Sunday School and Young Men's organization.
Sandy loved hunting, fishing and coaching Little League and being with his family. He served his country proudly during World War II with the Marines.
He was a barber for 30 years.
He is survived by five sons, Hubert J., Ogden; Wayne C., Nebraska; Bruce R., Sandy; Tim E., Draper; and Bryon S., St. George; one daughter, Irene Webster, Salt Lake City; 30 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Two sisters also survive, Thelma Mobley, South Valley Care Center, West Jordan; and Ruth Barkle, Moses Lake, Wash. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Sandall; parents; one brother, Hubert; and one sister, Donna.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan 8, 11 a.m., at the Winder 1st LDS Ward, 1250 E. 4530 South, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call at the chapel from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
