Fred C. Becktell, 69, 1903 N. Reserve, died today in Ball Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Blountsville and moved to Muncie as a child with his parents, Jasper and Edith Becktell. He attended Muncie schools. Mr. Becktell was employed at Warner Gear 38 years prior to his retirement in 1964.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Davis Becktell;
Services will be held at Meeks Mortuary at 1 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday.
