Obituary published in Traer Star Clipper on Friday, September 15, 1922

Wm. Heineman Sr. died at the hospital at Independence Wednesday evening, September 6th. He was born in Niederhohne, Germany, in the year 1857 and came to America when a young man, first settling in Illinois. A few years later he came with his parents to Garrison, living on a farm. March 3, 1880, he was married to Kate Pippert. Five children were born to them. One son, Ed, died about three years ago.

Mr. Heineman had been in the hospital for the last twenty-two years. The body was brought to Dysart, where funeral services were held Sunday at the Heineman home and were largely attended. Rev. Caweltl, of the Evangelical church being in charge of the funeral services. Burial was in the Dysart cemetery.

Deceased leaves one son, William, of Vinton; Mrs. Henry Gross, Garrison; Mrs. Gust Wetzstein, Dysart, and Mrs. L. Hall, Cushmeer, Ore., besides one brother, Christ, Alexander, South Dakota and a sister at Glenwood, and many other relatives and friends.
