After Jacob's death she married John Dicks, who was a carpenter and fisherman in Columbia, Lancaster County PA. He was a colonel in the Pennsylvania Militia in the War of 1812 and a Brigadier in the Lancaster County Militia and served in the House of Burgess.
In about 1817 she, John, and their children moved to Montgomery County, Ohio, near Dayton, where she lived the rest of her life. She preceded her husband in death at age 72.
Mary was originally buried in downtown Dayton, Ohio, but her body was removed and reburied at the Woodland Cemetery.
