LANDUYT RITES HELD THURSDAY
Last rites for Edmond Landuyt, who died November 29 at his home south of Chelsea following a long illness, were conducted at St. Patrick's church in Brooklyn last Thursday with the Rev. J. L. Garrity in charge. Burial was in Calvary cemetery in Brooklyn with the following serving as pallbearers: Remi Wauters, August Claeys, August Plouvier, Henry Van Renterghem, Morris LaKose and Art DeVilder.
The son of Desire Landuyt and Stefanie Verborgt, he was born May 6, 1886 at Bentille, Belgium. Mr. Landuyt came to America on March 18, 1897 and always lived in this community with the exception of four years spent in Alabama. On March 8, 1910 he married Cantellis DeSloover at St. Bridget's church in Victor.
He is survived by his wife and the following ten children: Henry of Luzerne; Ferdinand of East Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Paul (Mary) Papesh of Elberon; Alfonce of Waterloo; Victor, Charles, and Mrs. Fae (Rachel) Cleppe, all of Chelsea; Mrs. Edwin (Margaret) Iezek of Brooklyn; Edmond Jr. of Belle Plaine and Marcella, at home. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
