Married Ethel Roseanna 'Effie' Burch 1896 in Cooke County, Texas.

Reunion of Family Held At Home of B. F. King – From August first to sixth at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. King three miles south of Chico, there occurred a reunion of the brothers and sisters of Mr. King.

This was the first meeting of this family since the death of their mother, fourteen years ago, and it was a week of fun, frolic and reminiscences. Scarcely any time was spent in sleeping, and they wandered over the watermelon patch and cantaloupe patch in the "wee small" hours of the night.

Monday, August 2nd, the crowd was driven in wagons to the home of J. P. King, northeast of Chico, who is one of the brothers. A dinner that more than satisfied the appetites of the hungry crowd was enjoyed there and some of them spent two or three days at that home.

The meeting was a joyful one but the partings hail a tinge of sadness as they begin to separate the latter part of the week, none knowing what may happen ere they meet again.

On account of being sick, one of the brothers did not arrive until Tuesday morning. He was J. S. King of Okarche, Oklahoma. Those present for dinner Sunday, August 1 were: W. M. King and family of Gainesville, H. O. King and children of Paducah, Bog King and family of Dublin, Mrs. W. A Bryson and children of Proctor, Oscar Huckabee and family of Holland, Joe King and wife of Chico, Mrs. Jay Brown and children of Okarche, Okla., Miss ollie King of Denton, B. F. King and family of Chico, B. J. Magginns, J. M. Yeakley and Irene McElnaney of Chico.
