According to the Genealogy of the Page Family of Virginia (c-1983, page 174), Fannie Burwell Nelson, of Yorktown, Va., married November, 1886, Cordin W. Mercer, 501 West Grace St., Richmond, Va. He was the great-grandson of General Hugh Mercer, who was killed at the battle of Princeton, N.J., in the American Revolution.

Corbin Mercer died while attending a service at Al Saints' Church in Richmond. He was attending with his wife and son, Waller Nelson Mercer.

Corbin Mercer served in the Confederacy under the command of Colonel John S. Mosby, and was a member of R. E. Lee Camp of Confederate Veterans. During the war he was captured and imprisoned at Fort Delaware.

He married Fannie Nelson, of Yorktown, by whom, and by one son, he was survived. He was also survived by:
