According to two features in THE P.E.O. RECORD, founder Marie Suela (Pearson) Penfield always "wished" that her daughter become a P.E.O. This daughter, Marie Rose Penfield, did became a charter member of Chapter AH, Ohio, and was buried at the side of her mother. A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the gravesites of mother and daughter by the Cleveland Reciprocity Bureau of P.E.O. in 2011 prior to the opening of the 2011 Ohio State Convention. This gathering of members in Lake View Cemetery honored and celebrated the life and legacy of founder, Suela (Pearson) Penfield. On returning from the cemetery, a sister said, "This was wonderful--why hasn't it been done before?" Perhaps ... sisters across the U.S. and Canada will plan a visit of their own [referring to cemetery visit]. (THE P.E.O.
