Gladys was born to Louis Munnell and Anna White at Onigum. She attended Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota and the University of Minnesota. She worked in the Johnson O'Malley program with Indian children and was employed by the Leech Lake Reservation. She was elected and served as the District 2 Representative until failing health forced her to retire.

She initiated the Battle Point Project to which she committed many years of hard work and dedication. She enjoyed beadwork, cooking, canning, and picking berries.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son Gerald Drouillard, two brothers Larry Goose and Samuel Goose, and one sister Eleanor. Services were held at the Sugar Point Community Center. Burial was in the Battle Point Cemetery.
