Rev. Earl Pickelsimer, age 79 of Blairsville, passed away October 9, 2011 at his home. Rev. Pickelsimer was born January 4, 1932 in Margaret, GA to the late John Andy Pickelsimer and the late Fannie Warren Pickelsimer. Earl was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA , He was preceded in death by : daughter, Sandra Kay Pickelsimer, brothers, Elmer Pickelsimer, Estle Pickelsimer and Everett Pickelsimer, sisters, Pauline Cobb, Geraldine Totherow, Bertie Davis and Niner Snedegar.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Dorothy Mason Pickelsimer, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Darlene Pickelsimer, son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Becky Pickelsimer, all of Blairsville, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Earlene and Terry Folmar of Odessa, TX, Brother, Arlin Pickelsimer of Blairsville and 9 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive,
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Garrett and Rev. Avery Beaver officiating. Music will be provided by Robert Duckworth, Chris Rumfelt and Jason Pickelsimer. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requesed to serve as pallbearers: Jason Pickelsimer, Michael Pickelsimer, Clay Pickelsimer, Raymond Davis, Russell Davis and Tony Ledford.
