Mr. Estle J. Pickelsimer age 86 of Pickelsimer Rd.Blairrsville passed away on Friday March 18, 2011 in the Chatuge regional Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Pickelsimer was born on Feb.26,1925 in Blue Ridge, GA., the son of the late John Pickelsimer and the late Fannie Warren Pickelsimer. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. He was a loving brother, uncle and was a friend to many. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Everett Pickelsimer, four sisters, Pauline Cobb, Geraldine Totherow, Niner Snedigar and Bertie Davis. Mr. Pickelsimer was a member of Coopers Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Sunday March 20.2011 at 2:00pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Waymon Lovell officiating. Special music will be presented by Kenneth and Elaine Young. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jimmy, Kenneth and Jason Pickelsimer, James Davis, Devin Ledford and Tim Dyer.
Interment will follow in the Harmony grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9pm.
