William L. Peterson, 62, route 1,
Nichols, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday
at his home after an extended ill-
ness.
Mr. Peterson was born April 5,
1899, at Lohrville, the son of
Ernest and Ellen Wickland Peter-
son. He had been a resident of
Muscatine for 28 years.
He was married March 1, 1923 at
New Sharon to Doris Phillips.
Mr. Peterson was a member of the
Conesville Methodist Church, Odd
Fellows, Rebekahs, and Pige
Grange 2218.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs.
Doris Peterson; two sons, Lewis
Peterson and William E. Peterson,
both of route 1, Nichols; two
daughters, Mrs. Russell (Alice)
Orr of Columbus Junction and Mrs.
Donald (Arlene) Buckman of Cones-
ville; two brothers, E.E. Peterson
of Denver, Colo., and Leonard
Peterson of Lohrville; three sis-
ters, Mrs. Pete Seaberg of Morris,
Mrs. Loren Wright of Montezuma,
and Mrs. Iva Black of Cedar
Rapids; his mother, Mrs. Ellen
Peterson of Montezuma; and 10
grandchildren.
He was preceded by his father and
one daughter.
Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Monday at the Ralph J.
Wittich funeral home, with Rev.
D. Goldberg in charge. The body
is now at the funeral home, where
friends may call after 7 p.m. Sat-
urday. Interment will be at Memor-
ial Park cemetety.

Funeral Services for William L. Peterson, 62, were held at 2:00 P.M. today at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home. Rev. Daniel Goldberg officiated. Mrs. George Holliday was the organist.
Pallbearers were Vernon Hafner, Lester Windman, Lester Dickey, Oliver Stewart, David Fay and Darrell Bell.
Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery.
