ANNIE PRICE WILLIAMS
ST. GEORGE – Annie Charlotte (Anne) Rencher Price Williams, 89, died Oct 27, 1982 at the Dixie Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1982 in St. George the daughter of James G. and Mary Lorena Snow Rencher and lived her early life in St. George. She married Andrew B. M. Price on Jan. 1, 1914 in St. George. He died. She married Freeman Roy Williams on April 16, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nev. This marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died May 23, 1952.
She was active in the LDS Church and in civic affairs. She was a prominent figure in local BPW, a chapter member of the St. George club, and its first President and then became BPW State President from 1939 to 1941. She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was a past president of the local unit as well as District 7. She was known as “Mrs. Republican” in political circles in the ’40 and ’50’s because of her many hours of dedicated service. She was a charter member and first president of the Dixie Beautification Club. She worked 14 years as office manager for Southern Utah Power Company. She was also employed for many years by the State Senate.
She is survived by a son, Andrew R. Price; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchilden. Two sons Stanford and Blaine Price preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the St. George LDS 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 8 and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary. Burial will be in the St. George City Cemetery under the direction of he Metcalf Mortuary.

She is daughter of James Grandison Rencher (1848-1920) and Mary Lorena (Snow) Rencher (1860-1937)

She was married to Andrew Bird Price (1887-1924) on Jan 1, 1914 at age of 21. After he passed away, she married Freeman Roy Williams (1878-1952) on April 16, 1943 at the age of 50.
