William was the son of Orton & Pauline (Bottoms) Bennett.

He was 21 years old when he married Levie Jewell Baker, 15, in Young Co, TX on August 20, 1918.

He was a Farmer - Rancher.

He died from heart failure due to cancer of prostate and metasis to spine and bone structure.

Rites at Bryson

William Fletcher Bennett died at Jack County Hospital Tuesday morning after an illness of several years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the First Baptist Church in Bryson Rev. John Sullivan.

Interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home.

Bennett, a farmer, was born Sept. 30, 1896 in Jack County to Orton and Pauline Elizabeth Bottoms Bennett. He was married to Levie Baker August 20, 1918 at Bryson.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Wood, Graham; three sons, Samuel D. and Jimmy K. Bennett, Fort Worth, William S. Bennett, Bryson, and 8 grandchildren.

Also, two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hill, Mrs. Roberta Denning, Bryson; three brothers, Boyd, Pearl, and Orton Bennett, Jr. all of Graham.

Levie married William (Bonch) Bennett 8-20-1918. They lives on their farm south of Bryson. They had 4 children; Beulah Pearl, Samuel Douglas, William Stewart and Jimmy Key. Levie died 8-27-1968 and is buried beside her husband in Rock Creek Cemetery very near the home where they raised their family.
