MUNCIE--Mary (Sis) Daniels, 73, Parker City, died Saturday evening in Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Rushvile, Ind., and lived in the Parker City area most of her life.

She retired after 40 years as a tax preparer. She spent 15 of those years at H&R Block and five years at Hunter's Tax Service. She also worked for J.C. Penney for four years.
Her children think of her as the greatest cook in the world and as the greatest mother of eight; grandmother of 14, and great-grandmother of 10, and as a beautiful woman who was good to all.

Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Daniels (wife-Freda) of Farmland, and Roger Daniels of Muncie; six daughters, Mona Chapman of Parker City, Doris Mantock (husband-Scott) of Parker City, Debbie Daniels (special friend-Daniel Terry) of Parker City, Eva Perrine (husband-Mel) of Parker City, Karen Morford (husband-Charles) of Winchester, and Kathryn Armstrong (special friend-Gerrald Weddle) of Farmland; two brothers, Earl Logan of New Castle, and Clyde Logan of Muncie; a sister, Ruth Barlow of Muncie; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Daniels in 1994; her parents, Joseph and Louise Amonett Logan; two sisters, Vera Fair and Bessie Slabaugh, and two brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
