Muncie-Mona V. "Vickie" Chapman, 64, passed away Tuesday morning, September 3, 2013, at the AMG Specialty Hospital at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following a extended illness. She was born on, August 9, 1949, in Muncie, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Logan) Daniels.
She is a 1967 graduate of Monroe Central High School and received a certificate in Cooking from Ball State University where she eventually worked as a Chef for over 15 years prior to her disability in 2008. Vickie was known as a fabulous cook and specialized in confectionaries and candies. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing as well. Mostly, Ms. Chapman loved to make people laugh and have a good time.
Survivor's include one daughter, Heather Chapman, Parker City; Five sisters, Eva Perrine (companion-Andy Fiscus), Debbie Bond (husband-Roger), Doris Mantock (husband-Scott), all of Parker City, Karen Morford (husband-Charles), Winchester and Kathy Armstrong (companion-Garrald Weddle), Farmland; two brothers, Lonnie Daniels (wife-Freda Ann), Winchester and Roger Daniels (companion-Mary Dabbs), Muncie; 16 nieces and nephews; 26 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, 2:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Chris Clay officiating. A private family burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, September 6, 2013, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
