Deborah "Debbie" Barefoot Bain was born May 22, 1957, in Johnston County. She was preceded in death by her father, John Vinson Barefoot; and a brother, James Waylon Barefoot. She was a member of Stone's Creek Advent Christian Church and was an employee of PGI in Benson.
Survivors include her husband, C. Ray Bain; her mother, Elameta Adams Barefoot Norris and stepfather, Donald Norris of Dunn; a brother, Johnny Barefoot and wife June of Roanoke Rapids; a sister-in-law, Phyllis A. Barefoot of Benson; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bain, who was 49 years old, died on June 27, 2006, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.
