Erman Cravens died at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Saturday at 3:30 a.m. from brain trouble. he had been employed for the past several years by the Interstate Public Service Co. on its high tension power lines.
Thursday he was taken with a sore throat and high fever. He was taken to the hospital and his mother, Mrs. Ella Cravens, notified. Accompanied by her son John Cravens, she went to the hospital, and finding his serious condition sent for her brother, Dr. J.P. Wilson, but he was out of town and did not get the message until Friday morning. Dr. Wilson immediately started for Indianapolis but on arrival found that he was beyond medical aid. He remained unconscious until death came to his relief.
He was about 25 years of age and the son of Mrs. Ella Cravens and the late Robert Cravens. He was most exemplary young man. He was unmarried and besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers, John and Max Cravens, and two sisters, Miss Bertha Cravens, deputy county treasurer, and Mrs. Vena Williams.
The body was brought from Indianapolis, Saturday, by Undertaker H. B. Littell and taken to the home of his mother. The funeral was held Sunday with burial at Zoah.
