Gladys E. Aldridge, 98, of Milroy, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville.

Born Nov. 18, 1906, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Lewis and Mollie (Lantz) Fritts, both deceased. On June 27, 1925, she married Russell Aldridge; he died Aug. 2, 1974.

Mrs. Aldridge was a member of Milroy Christian Church in Milroy.

Survivors a son Earl (Mary) Aldridge of Milroy; four daughters, Joanne (Dale) Wiley of Columbus, June (Jack) Isley of Shelbyville, Caralyn (Richard) Skillman of Shelbyville, Maralyn (David) Eads of Shelbyville; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandchild, two step brothers and two half brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy with Rev. Ron Simbro officiating. Burial will follow in East Brook Cemetery in Milroy. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Milroy Christian Church.
