RUSHVILLE — June A. (Aldridge) Isley, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 in Shelbyville.

Born June 30, 1941 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Russell and Gladys (Fritts) Aldridge. They preceded her in death. She married Jack Edward Isley on Aug. 26, 1962; he survives.

She graduated from Milroy High School in 1959 and has resided in Shelbyville since 1963.

Mrs. Isley retired as a purchasing agent for Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem/Wellpoint after 45 years of service in 2004.

Mrs. Isley was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Her husband, sons and grandchildren were the joys of her life. She delighted in planning events and shopping for her family. A recent family Disney World vacation was a most cherished memory. She treasured spending time with her husband, traveling to new places and her old favorites like Pigeon Forge.

She also enjoyed her flowers and gardening outdoors.

Mrs. Isley was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Brett (wife, Sydney) Isley of Chino Hills, Calif., and Kirk (wife, Jill) Isley of Valparaiso; two sisters, Caralyn (husband, Richard) Skillman and Maralyn (husband, David) Eads, all of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Makenna, Macie, Madeline and Matthew Isley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Isley was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Lowell Aldridge; and two sisters, Betty Mosburg and Joanne Heck Wiley.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.

Private funeral services will be held Monday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel in Shelbyville with Rev. Frank Smith officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
