ELIAS POWELL
Elias Powell, aged 83, died yesterday at his home 8 Miller st., Rankin. Last April 8 he celebrated the 68th anniversary of his admission into the Odd Fellows lodge. Mr. Powell was born in Minersville. He enlisted in the One Hundredth Pennsylvania regiment and served throughout the Civil war. He was wounded during the second battle of Bull Run. He was a member of the Methodist Protestant church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Powell.
