OBITUARY COURTESY OF RATTERMAN & SONS FUNERAL HOME - 10/07/2011 - FOWLER, Charles L. "Charlie", 77, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, retired electrician for General Electric, as well as a member of the Senior Softball Association, where he played on several world championship teams. Preceding him in death were his parents Joseph and Mabel Fowler; his son, Stan Fowler and a sister, Helen Donohue. Survivors include his loving wife Rudy Fowler; children, Jean Broderick (Mike), Kenny Fowler (Martha), Sandy Thomas, Larry Fowler (Debbie) and Jerry Fowler (Julie); siblings, Tom, Pat, Mike, Joe, Bobby, Millie, Barbara Ann, Janie, Wanda and Betty; as well as 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 10, 10 AM at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 PM Sunday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may go to the St. Athanasius Building Fund.
