Born Josepha Garcia-Gutierrez in abt. 1890, the first of 14 children to Jose Garcia Alvarez and Perfecta Bionio Gutierrez. Josephine married Mr. Menendez, then immigrated to the US about 1915. She later married Manuel Gonzalez (spelled incorrectly as Gonzales on her burial records) in Illinois.
